I need a flow (I think) to dotwalk from a user, up through the users entire org structure, returning Immediate supervisor with Department Name, then that Supervisor's Supervisor/Dept Name, and so forth all way to top level of an organization.
It would seem maybe that there would be an ootb flow or sub-flow to so such as this.
I don't like trying to invent a wheel, but my searching skills for ootb workflows are minimal
Anyone know how to best search for such an ootb workflow, or you already know the name/s of such a workflow?
Very Respectfully

There's not going to be anything out of box for this specific requirement. You can try to do it in a flow, but it might be easier in a Business Rule or Script Include. What is the application / use case for this - where will you use it?

The Membership of our working groups (where assignments, approvals, etc are made) is managed through our Catalog and Active Directory and works well - I'll call them Assignment Groups (ASM) for purposes of this discussion.
- All our ASM Groups have a "Parent" group. Each Parent also has higher level Parent - all the way up to our CIO level. The top level Parent Groups are considered "level 1". The Parent Group names are all the different Department Names.
- Similarly, Parent Groups are "owned by" the Department Heads.
- Currently we manage all Parent Groups and their associations manually. This manual process is a BEAR when we start re-organizing. I am searching for a way to automate.
One approach I am considering (but open to suggestions) would be to (Step 1) find the Department Names and Dept Managers who are direct reports to the CIO so as to create the top level (Level 1) of Parent Groups as per their Department Name and set the Owner field to be Dept Manager be (could do this part manually if needed).
Repeat Step 1 until arriving at the first line supervisors
The First Line Supervisors will not be the Owners of any Parent Groups. However, they will be the owners of all ASM groups
Hopefully the attached screen shot will help clarify??

I am trying to attach a sample file to show the heirarchy
I hope this makes sense.
