Emails sending to contacts but not consumers

We just realized that our notifications don't appear to be sending on our Cases if we have consumers referenced on them instead of contacts.

 

We have multiple notifications configured like this that go to the Contact just fine but when the Consumer is filled out instead, it never triggers the email. We tested with multiple consumers who are active and have email addresses (and who have not disabled notifications) for multiple notification types (Case Opened, Case Resolved) and they don't trigger.

 

Any idea why? These are only consumers (they aren't consumer users) but I'd imagine consumers can get emails.

Hi @e_wilber 

It must go through, as the configuration looks good to me. Can you check if it's logging and showing the consumer email or not? If it's not there, then the consumer email is incorrect. If everything looks good and the issue persists, please log a new support case.
