Event Management Event From External Email

Muhammad Salar
Giga Sage

Hi All,
I want to create an event in the em_event table whenever an external email is received in ServiceNow. I have already done that using an Inbound Action.
I want to ask if there is any other way or any feature in Event Management itself to create an em_event record from an external email.

Regards.

Hi @Muhammad Salar ,

I have worked on couple of scenarios where emails are converted into events in the em_event table to generate incidents and on call notifications.

To your query mentioned above, That's the only recommended way suggested in the ServiceNow Documentation.

Please mark as the solution as helpful or the accept solution if this solves your query.

Srinija

@Muhammad Salar , No there isn't any other option other than inbound action.

I think this is the same inbound action functionality OR am i missing something in this document?

It is an inbound action only.

Hi @srinija_itom , Thanks for your reply.
My scenario is: whenever an email is received in instance, i want to create event in em_event.
I know and did it with inbound action.
Is there any other solution or possibility with event management itself?
