How can I exclude workstations / laptops from my discovery scan? I would think this would have to be defined in the windows classification assuming all my computers are Windows I could go to CI Classification , windows and then select the windows classification and deactivate this? This windows classification criteria is the name starts with windows so if i didnt have a windows classification for lets say for specifically Windows 2014 server this would also be missed. Any thoughts?

If you don't have any windows classification for specific OS of Windows, which means that they fall under normal Windows Classifer. So, if you want to exclude all those, then you make the that classifier as inactive.

That is correct, for each new version of windows server a new entry would need to added. With the generic windows classifier (computer) deactivated, you'll still be notified of these new windows server 2014 devices at the time of discovery. Port 135 will be open however none of the classifiers will match. So you won't "miss" these devices, rather you'll notified to create a new classifier.
hope this helps!
