External knowledge articles indexing using YDS OneSearch

Hi,

We have a requirement to access external knowledge articles into ServiceNow and we are considering to go with YDS -Yansa OneSearch, before that we need to understand how the indexing will happen using Yansa OneSearch.

 

If we are using Yansa, we are going to use REST API to hit the target system to access the external content, at that time indexing will happen outside itself and directly we can view the content in ServiceNow - is that correct?

 

If we are using AI search from ServiceNow, the indexing will happen in ServiceNow only and it causes data storage issues because we are going to access multiple third parties to access very large external content.

 

If any one is having experience on Yansa and how the indexing will happen for external content, please help.

You are correct that OneSearch can reference and display search content from an external system without requiring any internal indexing in ServiceNow.
