Field creation

Hi,

 

I have received one request, user want to create new field and values should be comes from another table.

 

Note : Actually tickets are created under INC and field values should be matched INC, values should be populated default under created field.

 

How can I create, please suggest me.

Hi,

 

Create a Reference field that refers to "another table", on the table.

Hi @Yajna Yadla ,

 

Go to the incident form by typing "incident.form" in the application navigator.

Right click on the header and press "form design"

Change in left pane to "field types" and type "refe" in search criteria.

Ad a new reference field to the form at any place.

Configure the field.

Hi @Yajna Yadla 

Solution is already explained by experts @AndersBGS  & @Bert_c1  but I have one point

- creating new field is a custmization

- Before you create a new field please check is any other filed can be used for this purpose.

 

Rest , follow the way like Form --> Configure - form layout -- create field
