Yes now you can go in your domain separated instance and use the tables like sn_bom,
And you can open CSM/FSM Configuration workspace to implement this.

You can login in instance and then you need to go to navigation bar and check, Also as you said it is Shared Instance you can check by login with domain users and check.

When you shared are you taking about Domain separation, if yes, then yes FSO can be implemented in Shared Instance.
Activate the plugins, make sure you are in Global Domain and then configure as per the domains.
