Has Portfolio Workbench (pw_overview) page been intentionally restricted?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently looking into how to manage portfolios strategically in ServiceNow using the standard SPM license. From the documentation and community posts I’ve read, it seems that what used to be available as the Portfolio Workbench has now been replaced by the Strategic Planning Workspace, which appears to be part of the SPM Pro license.

While exploring the instance, I noticed that there is still a page record in the sp_page table called pw_overview, which seems to correspond to the old Portfolio Workbench overview. However, when I try to access this page directly, I get the error: “Sorry, the page you requested was not found.”

My questions are:

  • Has pw_overview been intentionally disabled in recent releases?

  • Is it expected to be inaccessible even if the page record still exists?

  • With the standard SPM license, is there any supported way to achieve a portfolio-level strategic view similar to the old Portfolio Workbench, or is the Strategic Planning Workspace now the only option?

Any clarification would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

@jordimsant

yes ServiceNow has moved from Portfolio Workbench to the Strategic Planning Workspace

This helps for unified workspace that shares all the strategic planning capabilities at one place

-> yes "pw_overview" is intentionally disabled

-> I think they kept that page for legacy or migration purpose but access is not allowed
