Hi All,
I followed the instructions in the link below, but even after doing so, I am still unable to highlight a column on a list for a custom table like it is shown in the screenshot below. I also made sure there isn't a rule set up for the task or incident tables' highlighted values.
Could you please tell how this is implemented for the incident table.

Are you verifying it in a workspace list view?
If not, then you should rather look in a workspace list view in which you have added your custom table.
If you want to add styles to native list view, then try exploring out-of-the-box field styles. Below is the docs link for that.
