how can I add meta functionality to Knowledge management

Hi guys, I'm working on the requirement "Can we review/implement/identify the 'META' functionality within Knowledge Management. Is this out of the box/plug-in. This is needed to aid article association & searching." is there a plugin for Meta functionality within the knowledge management
