How Can I Align Flow to Workflow Stages when moving from Workflow to Flow to avoid rendering issues?

Dear ServiceNow Community experts,

Is it possible to completely align FLOW Stages to be exactly the same as WORKFLOW Stages, to avoid stage rendering issues for Users on the Service Portal and also on RITM List views (Core UI)?

I have moved several Catalog Items over to a new FLOW, previously using a WORKFLOW.

However on RITMs that were raised and are still Open that used the Workflow, the Stages that display for the new Flow do not fully relate to those that were used on the previous Workflow.

I believe Stages used in Workflow are stored in a different table to Stages used in Flow - is this correct?

My key question is - how is it / is it even possible to use identical Flow and Workflow 'Stages', so that there are no stage rendering issues when placing a new Flow on an item that previously used a Workflow.

I want the old RITMs that were raised on the previous Workflow, to still render correct Stages in the Portal View, when a new Flow is placed on the Catalog Items.

I would really appreciate any advice on how to achieve this or is it not possible?

Many thanks ServiceNow community friends.
