How can I set Default View for all ITIL users?

Dhananjay Kulk1

How can we fix the issue as all ITIL users are able to see everything in Portal View which should be ideally in Default view? How do I change back to default view?

We always had Default view for all ITIL users but suddenly after Go-Live of Asset Management, we are facing problem that all IT users need to manually change the view of all records like Incidents, Changes, Requests, etc. to Default view from Portal View.

I would advise you to create view rules for the tables that you need rather than depending on the default system behavior.

Additionally, the incident view get controlled using this business rule

Hi Dhananjay,

you can achieve this with the help of view rules , in which you have to put the condition as gs.hasrole('role') ;

hopw this helps !

Hi Dhananjay,

you can create view rule for this on the respective table such as incident, change, etc

https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/newyork-platform-user-interface/page/administer/navigation-and-ui/task/t_CreateAViewRule.html

Mark Correct if this solves your issue and also mark 👍 Helpful if you find my response worthy based on the impact.
Thanks
Ankur
