How do I change Avatar Name Text Color and icons in Header in UI16?

Hi,

I'm not being able to figure out how do I change the text color of the logged in user name and icons that appear on the header of the page in UI16. The problem is, I require to keep my banner color white because of which the logged in username and icons are not visible.

However, when I hover over those, those can be visible

I also need to change the color of the list buttons(ex:new) on the ITIL modules,which is blue by default. I tried to change it through CSS properties (system properties > CSS) but not sure why it's not getting reflected.

Can anyone please help.
