How do I turn off a Service Portal site we no longer want to be active?

I have a service portal that I no longer want to be active. Is there a simple way to turn it off without deleting?

I would suggest renaming it. For ex, if the portal name is ssp, name it as old_ssp, so that user can no longer see if if they try to access it using ssp link and you also have a backup of your portal.
