How to add Date Picker to Date field on Form

For the life of me I can't figure out how to add a Date Picker to a date field on a form. I can see a date picker in the list view just not on the form (image attached).  I have been searching for about 8 hours and trying various things but nothing is working.  Please tell me what I am missing.  This seems like it should be a common feature for a UI, not an add-on.

Hi Robert,

How did you add the date field?  I just went into the form designer and added a date field to a form.  The date picker came along with no extra effort.

weird. I sure did (see image in original post plus the one attached to this reply). It is just a standard date field.  So that makes me wonder if something is turned off by default?  Any thoughts on that?

I would say delete the field and add again. if this doesn't work then try flushing the cache.do

Did you chose 'Date' or 'Due Date'?

Due Date just shows a string field by default, where-as Date comes with the Date picker.

Ensure 'Date' field type is selected.
