How to add interactive record number on REQ and vice versa

Hi,

 

When we create a request from walk-up interaction record from workspace, how do we that request number to work notes of IMS record and how to add IMS record number to RITM? Please assist

Hi,
To automate the process of linking request numbers from a Walk-Up Interaction record to the work notes of an Incident Management System (IMS) record and to add IMS record numbers to a Requested Item (RITM), you can use business rules or script includes in ServiceNow.

 

  • Link Request Number to IMS Work Notes: Use a business rule to append the request number to the work notes of the IMS record.
  • Add IMS Record Number to RITM: Use a business rule to update the RITM record with the IMS record number.
