How to add Notification Preferences on Service Portal

Hello all,
I have a question on how to add notification preferences for users on a service portal.
I have seen some similar discussions regarding to the topic but they either redirect to the CMS or they include iFrames (which is not what the customer wants).
Has there been any update on how to add these notification preferences on the 'new' service portal?
Perhaps there is a way to add them to the User Profile page/widget?

I have a similar issue in that we have a widget that works on Helsinki, but does not work correctly in Jakarta.
In Helsinki, we used a modal window to display the preferences UI, but it appears that Jakarta changes the notifications page, so now it causes the standard UI to be loaded when we attempt to use that in Jakarta.

I unfortunately did not found a solution, but the end users did not consider it too much of a problem in the end.

Hello,
Have you tried to set system property "glide.notification.preference.ui.enabled" to false? This should force the platform to use back the older UI15 notification preference page instead of notification preferences within System Settings menu.

We made the decision to exclude that widget from the portal as upon review, we have very limited usage outside of IT.
We may revisit at a future time, but for now, if anyone requests to be removed, we will perform manually.
