How to change the Edit Members display for Change Request?

Normally when you have a Reference to Change Request, the reference field shows the number of the Change Request. This is confirmed by the number field on Task being the display for the Change Request table. We recently put in an override for the Short Description on Task in which we set the Display Override for Change Request (we want the short description of this field to show on the reference).
However, this does not address the situation with regards to the Edit Members display. We use the SPM Release form to collect Change Requests for deployment, and we associate multiple Change Requests to a Release. But when we attempt to Edit Members for the Change Request related list, we can only see the Change Request Numbers and not the Short Description for the Change Request.
It looks like the display override does not work for Edit Members, so wondering what can we do so that the Edit Members interface show Short Description?

Hi @tahnalos,
It shouldn't matter which 'interface' you are using, it should display the 'Display' field of the record.
I have applied the same change as you (i.e. Use Dictionary override to set the 'Short Description' field of the Change Request as the display field) and it seems to be working fine from my end:
I am not sure if I am using the same form but if the issue persists, do you mind sharing some screenshots?
Cheers

This first confirm that the Dictionary Override on the change_request table display field has been saved and the instance cache cleared, because usually the dialog uses that Display field....if you’ve done that and it still shows the number, then it may be due to the related list metadata itself (or a version specific bug) not honouring the override, in which case you’ll need to check the sys_ref_list view configuration or open a case with ServiceNow support to determine if your platform version has the limitation.....
