How to enable search button on agile board in Sprint tracking tab similar to Sprint planning

Hi All,

We have a requirement to enable search on Sprint tracking in Agile board. 
Below is the sprint planning board where we have search bar. Similarly, there is a requirement to have it on Sprint Tracking board as well as shown near marked area in red. Any idea on how to enable it?

Also, how to disable auto expand of the stories in Sprint Tracking > List View tab on the agile board?

This is a pure customization and would introduce technical debt. The search functionality you are referring to is not available out-of-the-box by design. Also, this is not a standard form—it is more like a portal/HTML-based page, which makes it harder to modify.

To implement this, you would need to customize the page significantly, which is not easy and would add ongoing maintenance overhead.

My recommendation is to advise the customer to use the out-of-the-box functionality as much as possible and avoid unnecessary customizations that create technical debt.

Sprint Planning:
This tab is used to organize and manage sprint activities—such as creating, editing, and completing sprints, as well as adding stories to them. An out-of-the-box search option is already available here.

Sprint Tracking:
This tab is designed to monitor the progress of scrum tasks associated with stories in the current sprint.

Given this distinction, is a search feature really necessary in the Sprint Tracking tab?

Introducing search functionality in the Agile Tracking tab would alter its core purpose and design. It could also lead to significant technical debt and is not aligned with the intended concept, as discussed in the ServiceNow community.
