How to Enable sidebar discussion if case is commented or someone is tagged in work notes

Hi Everyone,

 

Our HR team is asking to enable sidebar discussion for them (message icon on instance header) for them, so that if case is updated or someone is tagged on work notes for cases, they should get that notification/ping in sidebar.

 

I checked and found that if we click on discuss button on any case in HR workspace, then it shows that message in sidebar discussion. But out HR team do not use workspace and I am not sure how to enable it from backend.

 

Is it feasible in servicenow and if yes, can I get some document to refer?
