How to get "Asset Information" on user profile

We had a company come in and do Asset for us they were supposed to make it so when the Helpdesk clicked on a user profile they saw the asset associated to that user. I created a Reference field to point to the Asset table. How do i get it to show the Asset that is assigned to that user to default in the box? TIA I don't want them to click on it I just want it to default there. Yes i know users can have more than one but it should be assigned to the person. Thanks
