How to list reports included in a dashboard

Hi,

is there a way to display dashboards and the corresponding elements e.g reports that are part of those dashboards ?

I have examined the following tables having information about dashboards, tabs, reports, however I do not see an easy way to display dashboards and corresponding reports.

  • pa_dashboards
  • pa_tabs
  • pa_m2m_dashboard_tabs
  • sys_report

Thanks.

Hi Rafal,

I don't know if there is a way to disable sharing to everyone. If there is, it is likely going to be a property that impacts everyone... I recommend reaching out to customer support. I'll be interested to hear what they have to say.

We would need this too, it would be much easier, knowing the table, to identify reports in a dashboard without going one by one.

I didn't find a table that binds reports to tabs / dashboard.

The business requirement here is that users create dashboards but can't share reports included with the dashboard (and we don't want them to share reports to everyone) but sometimes we have to share their dashboards and their reports to specific groups of people.

Having the ability, starting from a dashboard, to have the list of reports and then use scripting to edit their sharing settings would be a great benefit.. of course it would be nice to have a single point of control, inside the dasboard, to edit all the included reports sharing option.. because, as it is now, if you have a dashboard with say, 20 reports, it will take an immense amount of time entering in any single one report.. also because the submit after the edit does not bring you back to the dasboard.

so, how can one retrieve the association between a dashboard, (possibly a tab), and the reports included in it?

Thanks

Rafal - did you ever figure out how to do this?  We have a user that is trying to create documentation on the design of their dashboards, and want to list out all of the reports that are included in them.  Thanks.

You can find that information at Admin Console.

Navigate to Admin Console.

Click on "Dashboards"

In the "Dashboards" window, click on the top left drop down, and switch from default "Dashboard Groups" to "Dashboards".  On the tabs below, click on "Report" tab.

This should show you the list of all the reports being used for a particular dashboard.  You can export the result to a report.

Hello,

I don't see an option to export the results. How can we do that? Please advise.
