How to make an announcement collapse and expand on service portal

Hello all...

 

I am currently working on the OOTB Announcement widget in the service portal and I am sending the truncated value of the 'Summary' field from announcement table to the portal. I want a user to be able to expand or collapse the announcement using a link, example: 'Read more' for expanding and 'Read less' for collapsing the announcement. Screenshot below for reference:

Being new to portal development, I am stuck with this requirement.

 

Can anyone please guide me as to how do I approach this problem?

Hi Mayank,

I found a community article which says that you need to modify client controller of announcement widget in order to make it expandable.
