How to override auto updating discovery source on computer records

Hello all,

We have a requirement where if users manually update discovery source field on computer records from SG - Intune pr SG - Jamf to None, then sync should not happen again.

As this sync is reverting discovery source back to original and few other attributes as well, which they don't want.

When I check the audit on these fields, I can see updated by as System.

Can I override this sync by business rules or what should be the best approach to do this?

Create a reconciliation rule on the source field and prioritize the manual update over other sources.

This should work.

I tried creating reconciliation rule for Manual entry, but I'm not able to select Discovery source as attribute from available options.

Does it not appear as an attribute to select?
