We are attempting to remove our instance from the Search results in Google and/or in Bing.
xxxx.service-now.com or https://xxxx.service-now.com
Whenever you search/type the URL of our instance, the same is displayed in Google and Bing results, although we get this message underneath the search results:
"A description for this result is not available because of this site's robots.txt"
or
"We would like to show you a description here but the site won't allow us."
Trying out another service now instance, from another company:
yyyy.service-now.com
it does not bring any results, any ideas how we can achieve this? to remove our instance from Google or Bing results?
Thank you.

the google site has quite a bit of information on how to do this, password protect files, meta tags, or robots.txt file
but the robots file is only if you have server root access, so I doubt that will work
meta tage may be your best bet
<meta name="robots" content="noindex">

Thanks, we have already tried this options and even opened a couple of tickets in hi.service-now.com.
1. The meta tag option: not configurable by us unless our pages are part of a CMS development within our instance, so this option does not apply to us.
2. The webmaster tools option, was not possible because we are not the owners of the service-now root site.
3. In order to edit the robots.txt file we needed to activate a plugin, which was not recommended by the vendor as this plugin is intended for an additional functionality, not only to edit robots.txt
Our last option is to restict access by IP range, do you have this implemented in your instance?and if so, do you get results when searching your instance in Google?
Thank you.

Hi @Mariano Lemus
Have you achieved restricting ServiceNow instances from Google or Bing search. If yes, could you please share the resolution ?
Thanks in advance!
Joseph.
