How to remove Attachment from activity

Hi,

I know that OOB whenever you add attachment to a case its being added to the activity as well. Is there any way to delete specifically one record attachment from the activity but not all attachments? I want to remove this from activity but not remove the attachment from the record, is that possible? only specific attachment that being added by specific user

Hi @Alon Grod 

 

If you just mistakenly added an attachment  and want to delete- 

 

  • Open the record (e.g., Incident, Change) from which you want to delete the attachment.
  • Click the paperclip icon (Attachments) in the header.
  • Click Manage Attachments.
  • Check the box next to the specific file you want to delete.
  • Click Delete 

If always that specific attachment you want -that should not come to activity log

Hi @Alon Grod 

 

As per my knowledge,You can not delete an attachment from the activity log in ServiceNow until and unless you  delete the actual file from the sys_attachment table, which removes its reference from the activity stream.

 

Its as per the design.

Attachments cannot be deleted directly from the Activity section, but they can be hidden. By clicking on the filter (funnel) icon on the side and unchecking “Attachments,” they will no longer be visible in the activity stream. but then all attachments will be hidden from the activity not just one.
