How to send email to specific person after user submitting request item

Dear all,

I created a catalog item and I want the specific person(such as admin) will receive the notification email when the user submits the request through this catalog item. How do I do that?

Go to Workflow Editor

 

Open the workflow you want to edit , then checkout the workflow

Then from the core tab drag and drop the notification activity in the workflow

Then open that activity to configure it as per your requirement. Then Publish the workflow

Hi Junyu,

 

You can configure here as well. Select table as Requested Item

run on insert and put filter conditions like item is <catalog item> for which you want to trigger this.Since every catalog item has a respective workflow attached to it we prefer using it

Hi,

I tried the Incident assigned to me and created a new incident but nothing happened to the email. What's wrong with it?

I created a new incident and changed the priority, but nothing happened to my Email Box.

Do you know what's the next step?

Also do you know how to check the log about this? I need to make sure that ServiceNow did send the email (though I didn't receive it).
