How to set Clone Scheduled

Hi.

I will clone it for this upgrade.

I'm very worried because I can't try it with PDI.

Let's me see if I'm aware of the clone schedule.

  1. After creating a clone profile, click the "Create Clone Request" button of the related link.
  2. Enter the data to execute the clone in "Clone Scheduled Start Time".(this is the most important thing to know)

Do you  understand that the clone will be executed automatically on the specified data?

Is there anything else I need to be aware of about the schedule?

Thank you!

Hi d-aizawa,

Refer to the following page on information pertaining cloning.

Thing to note:

1. Cloning is done using nightly backup. That is, it's better to clone after the backup to get the recent data as possible.

2. Cloning can fail.

  1. The Now Platform uses data from the most recent, nightly backup of the source instance when cloning. Backups that are used for cloning are a maximum of 36 hours old.
  2. If cloning from a source backup fails, the system uses the legacy clone engine instead.

Cloning won't affect the production instance so even if cloning fails, it's possible to re-do so there's not much to be worried about.

Hi,

It's also good to know that a clone uses the most recent backup of your source instance, it's not real time data being used when cloning.
