How to take values from one table to another

Hi All,

I have a requirement that for example I have a Incident records , for that records some assignment group is assigned. suppose if any one made the assignment group inactive at groups table, In incident records it should check if it is deactivated group then it should trigger a notification, can any one help me on this please.

I don't get your requirement.

1. Incident record assigned to assignment group and closed
2. Assignment group gets deactivated 

Is above correct understood - if yes, what would you then like to do?
