I am trying to install the postmaster app from share.servicenow.com onto my dev instance but I get an error when i try to register.

How do I do   it?

Oh so you are referring to PostMaster Mail routing. If you want to automate catalog reqeuest creation I would suggest you to have inbound actions created.

Also, one of cause of issue I guess is its not available for release after Geneva.
