I am getting 'No active mid server found for IP' error when attempting to discover a business service using service mapping.

I have an active running mid server on my local machine. I can quick discover the local mid server without any issues, but when I try to discover a business service on the local Mid server (IIS default site) using service mapping I am getting No active mid server found for the local IP address. I have recycled the Mid server, I also confirmed that All is added under the the supported application under the mid server setup.

It seems to be that service mapping does not see the mid server. Any assistant or direction greatly appreciated?

thanks

Alex

Hi Alex,

Please follow the below things:

1)Navigate to the System Property table and click New.

In the Name field, enter sa.service_mapping.use_capabilities

From the Type list, select true|false

In the Value field, enter true.

Click Submit.

2)Default MID Server for Service Mapping:

system properties-->new-->name field--enter mid.server.sm_default--->type-- select string--> value ---enter name of mid server--->submit

Thanks,

Pavan

We were getting this error as well when trying to run Service Mapping. This is the step that resolved the issue:

  1. Navigate to All > MID Server > Applications.
The list of installed applications that can use MID Servers appears.
  2. Click the name of an installed application.
  3. Select a MID Server from the list in the Default MID Server field.
  4. To select additional MID Servers for this application, click Edit in the MID Servers related list and select alternate MID Servers that this application is allowed to use.
  5. Click Update.
