I have a notification that is never sent, it gets stuck as "ready"

Hello,

I'm having a notification issue. There is a notification created from the notifications module that is never sent even though the "when to send" condition is triggered. Under the "sent" outbox notifications table, the notification is enlisted as "ready". The user that is supposed to receive the email has notifications enabled and I've verified the email address.

How can I solve this issue?

Thanks!

Hi,

Per documentation it should say "send ready"...is that what is says?

https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/london-servicenow-platform/page/administer/time/reference/email-l...

If that is the state and it's stuck here, that usually means something is messed up with the email itself or the email address.

Please check both of those.

To troubleshoot, try sending it to someone else, does it still get stuck?

To troubleshoot that...try sending a completely different email...does that one go out?

If so, then it's the email/notification itself. Something is wrong with it.

The notification is the second one that the user should be receiving throughout the process. I placed my email in his user account for testing purposes and my email works fine since I'm receiving the first email. The notification's configuration has the "On behalf" field set as the recipient. The "On behalf" user is the user that has my email account and has notifications as enabled. I'll attach some screenshots.

It seems that the email is not even being sent now, let alone that the issue yesterday was that it was stuck as "ready".

Hello Allen,

No, as explained above...I can't find the reason as to why it stays stuck as "ready". The email address is correct.
