Hi,
Each day I have to wake up my instance. Example today, I did configurations around 4:00 AM and on the same day when checked around 2:00 PM, the instance is hibernating.
Why is this happening even when I keep using the instance?
And once the instance sleeps, chrome / internet explorer browser saves the state of it and keeps showing "Hibernating" even after waking up the instance. Clearing cache works but not always. I end up waking up the instance around 3 to 4 times daily before I could start using them.
If anyone has a way around this "hibernating issue", would be really helpful.

I thought the new sleep paradigms actually required logins, not just config changes.

True that.
I do the below to get immediate access to my instance when its hibernating.
1. Clear cookies of your DEV Instance URL in your browser.
2. Use https://devxxx.service-now.com/login.do to login.
It works each time. Using a different browser where you didn't use your DEV instance before also does the trick.
However note that your developer account will continue to say that your Instance is hibernating.
you can side-by-side try waking up your instance from your developer account so that they don't release your instance due to inactivity.

Annnnd this is how you ruin other's ability to use PDIs.
If you need a PDI up at all times, then ask SN for a at cost instance. From what I've been told it is nearly the same price as the TPP fee 5k/year. Seems like a lot, but it's been told to me more than once it costs a lot to host it.
Personally I hope ServiceNow fends this off but I realize you may try other ways to do it.
Please understand that the inconvenience allows for many more PDIs to be available.
