IIs there a way to refresh user permissions (roles) while a user is logged in?

I noticed that when a user is assigned a role (via group or otherwise), the permissions granted by that role are not applied until the user logs out and logs back in. I assume this is because of caching. So, say if a user is assigned the itil role while they're logged in, is there a way to ensure these permissions are applied immediately?

Thanks,

Andrew

Hi Andrew,

I don't think this is possible but one option that you have available is to perform a user session lock out by navigating to Logged In Users:

That will kill the user's session and force the user to login again (this time with the new roles appied to their session).

Thanks,
