Incident assignment group cannot be updated with REST API

Hi All
If you try to write an incident assignment group with the REST API,
it will only fail if you try to change the assignment group from a parent group to a child group.
What could be the reason?

Hi Nakata,
I tried the same in following format using REST API Explorer as admin and could update the assignment group of an existing incident from "Incident Management" to "Help Desk".

Please check the if the authenticated user over the API has enough access to write an incident record.

did you check any before update BR is restricting the update of the group.
what is the error message you got?
