Integration with Xero (online accounting system)

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has tried or looked into setting up an integration with Xero (www.xero.com), it's an online accounting system providing functions like HR, payroll, etc

I've done some research and can't seem to find any information at all about if it's possible, or how to go about doing it. There are 2 other middle man type systems, Workato (ServiceNow Integration & Automation | Workato ) and Cloudpipes (https://www.cloudpipes.com/integrations/servicenow/xero ) that market being able to do this, but we don't want to use another middle man type system for it.

Also, Xero only supports OAuth 1.0a, and ServiceNow being on 2.0, they aren't compatible. Xero have stated they weren't planning on moving to version 2.0. Would there be any way around this? or would we need that middle man system like Workato or Cloudpipes?

Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated.

No we never found a solution, and the project was cancelled as it was no longer required.
