Is it possible to open a file in a different tab rather than downloading the file

Hi community,

I have a file type where document viewer is not support by servicenow (which are none of Microsoft Office, PDF, PNG, JPEG files)

I am aware that file types that are not supported by servicenow will be downloaded by default, but are there any ways which I can view the attachment on instance or open the attachment as a new tab/window?

@jnt-cnt

you might have to use some custom solution etc or use external javascript libraries for this

It will be somewhat challenging to achieve your requirement and even if you achieve it using external libraries then remember it has dependency.

For example: PPT cannot be viewed in document viewer so you might have to use external library

How to build a PowerPoint (PPT/PPTX) viewer in JavaScript
