Hi,
You can create a notification to trigger on condition such as a story record is created and then you can select who the recipient would be (such as the assigned to person, etc.). However...you would need appropriate ServiceNow permission to do this. You wouldn't be able to build this out with being an end-user.
Please mark reply as Helpful/Accept Solution, if applicable. Thanks!

Would you just need admin access? Just curious to see if I can request the permission from my manager 🙂

Hi Kathryn,
The building of email notifications is an admin role process. Having an email fired to you when a Story is assigned to you is a basic email that can be quickly built by any of your admins. It is generic in that once built, it would send this email to anyone who was assigned to the Story as Assigned to. Best advice would be to ask your admin team to build this notification and you will get an email anytime a Story is assigned to you in the future.
Of course, so will anyone else that is assigned a Story.
Hope this helps.
