Knowledge Subscription Notifications for Portal Users

Hello Community,

Is there any  possibility of allowing portal users (external customers) to subscribe to a knowledge base  and receive notifications if the knowledge is updated. Internally, we already have this functionality available for internal users. However, we’d like to know if something similar is possible for external users via the customer portal.

Any guidance or best practices would be greatly appreciated!

Best Regards,

Hi @beycos

For external users, there is no straightforward, built-in subscription and notification feature similar to internal users. Some community discussions indicate attempts to configure notifications for knowledge article interactions (such as flagging, rating, commenting) via installed plugins and system properties, but these are generally designed for internal users and do not reliably work for external portal users.
Notifications for knowledge articles are typically linked to feedback tasks assigned internally, and external users do not automatically receive update notifications on subscribed articles or knowledge bases.
