Go to LDAP Server Definition and check the value configured for Read Timeout. You might want to increase it.
Here is the Screen Capture:
You may increase it up to 120 seconds.
Contact your network Admins and LDAP Admins if it still keeps getting timeout.

Also consider liaising with your LDAP Administrators to validate if there was any change implemented since the time you started seeing this.
