I am trying to connect to an instance that has MFA enabled so basic auth will not work so I try Oauth instead but I get thgis error message:
unauthorized_client: The client credentials provided (those of the service you are using) are either not valid or not trusted
and btw Luxlab then just hangs forever. Login attempt never times out so only way out is to forcequit the app.

Hello @Tommy Jensen
Could you please confirm if all below steps were adhered in your ServiceNow instance (if Inbound OAuth to ServiceNow):
1. System property "glide.oauth.inbound.client.credential.grant_type.enabled" with value as true created
2. All > System OAuth > Application Registry
and the OAuth Application user have "snc_platform_rest_api_access" role.
If yes, then you can validate all of the above in POSTMAN and let's say if POSTMAN is working fine, then maybe Luxlab need some persmissions/roles for the ServiceNow OAuth user or maybe some additional configuration for the host (your servicenow instance URL).

Have you actually tried running Luxlab and connecting with Oauth? Then you will see what the problem is.
Luxlab is an app ServiceNow provide so the setup such as the client id etc is not something I can change so there is no point in trying to create a new oauth setup.
And just for the record oauth is working on this instance with ServiceNow SDK. And the oauth in both work similar.
