Merging Domains - Creating a new ID for one Domain. How to add groups of old ID to New ID

Use case: 

Primary Domain Name: A

Other Domain: X

Now, the X domain is merging with A, creating New IDs for X domain Users in A.

How do we get History like Existing tickets and Groups, etcs  to the new ID's.

Can we write a script? If yes, please help.
