MID Server for multiple sub production instances in same host server

Hi Team,
We have a midserver configured in Dev instance. Can we create another midserver in same Host server for Test instance? please assist.
Can a mid server ONLY be bound to 1 instance?

Hi,
We have a dev and test instance
We use one windows server to host the MID servers for both dev and test.
On the Windows host server, the MID servers/services need to be installed in different locations and each run as their own windows service.

So if one is C:// drive , should the other not be there in that drive?
and any specific reason for this separation?

Hiya,
Ours quite happily sit on the same drive in the same parent folder.
Reason for separation is because...
...that was how we were told to configure it ? : )
i.e. I'm unsure why, just confident they were installed correctly for "co located" services.
Confirmation for correct configuration was gained by looking at the upgrade notes specific to MID servers - specifying separate install locations (or that could have been from a clarification Hi ticket I raised...) if two instances share same Server host. I'll try and find the link...

There we go, I did put in a Hi ticket.
I was asking if any issues upgrading the Dev MID server, but not Test MID - with both on same box - as per pic.
Response on Hi was:
"Since you have verified the MID servers have been installed and configured correctly, the MID server upgrade process will only make changes to files within the directory that the MID server is contained in. It will not affect the files of other MID servers installed on the same device."
