To solve this you can follow the steps and for display settings, navigate to widgets in navigation pane and in related list go to display settings and complete your steps following.

Could you please briefly explain the process

Were you able to figure out the creating an open incident target at 180 or the time series portion? I am still stuck on that

Go to Analytics Hub, find Number of Open Incidents, enter and select targets (top right) and then set Global target to 180 with start date >3 months from today
