Module's Title Length

What would be the maximum recommended length for module title?

Hi there,

Out-of-the-box the max length is set to 80. You could make this larger, though the titles would not be readable anymore.

Thanks Mark for quick response. 

I was going through ServiceNow Health report and it states that Length of Modules is large. But when I verified the length of all modules it was not exceeding 80 characters. So wanted to know if ServiceNow is suggesting to have less number of characters.

Hi there,

If I test with for example 20 times a "w", it is already not able to show the full text and cuts it off with "...". Though 50 times a "i" fits fine. Also screen resolution is a thing. But 80 would be in most cases already be too much.

Not sure what this Health report parameter consists off, haven't seen this one.

Hi Anil,

The Module length is 80 by default.

Can you please check if there has been made any changes to the max length in the dictionary? Check updated by.

Servicenow runs this Health Report/ACE Report, which is nothing but just a piece of script/code. Probably servicenow is checking the dictionary, Whenever and where ever the Changes has been done in the Max Length field, it will get captured in the Health report.
