I am trying to limit an action function's visibility for a custom mobile app but I keep getting stuck and I'm hoping someone can help me.
In my app, I have a custom table (Table A) with these fields:
State
Number
and other fields
On the record screen's details screen for Table A, I have a footer function that scans assets in the Hardware (alm_hardware) table and updates data in the Hardware table.
My issue is the footer function displays ALL the time and I only want it to display it when Table A is in a specific state. I don't understand how I can do this, the footer function is placed on the record details screen for Table A, but the action is performed on the Hardware table, which means I don't have access to Table A data to set a condition for the action.
There must be a way I can pass a parameter or variable with data from Table A to the function, how can I do that and limit when the function displays?
