Notifications turned off, but user still receives the notification?

We have users who have turned off certain notifications using there notification preferences, however the users are still receiving the notification. The notifications are not addressed to them but they are CC in the notification. Can someone help me understand why they are still receiving the notification?   My first thought is that its still sending because the users are in the CC field, just can't confirm that thought, any thoughts?

Did you check to see if the user is added to any delegates?

I have and he is not a delegate for anyone

This means you have email notifications with cc notification.

Your instance may have mail scripts which add cc in email notifications.

Please search your mail scripts with below tag

email.addAddress

Hi Sachin - I do have mail scripts which CC the user, is that why they are still receiving the notification? They have the notification turned off, but because I have a mail script to CC them they will always receive the notification?
