OOB email notification not working for new fields

I added and created new fields on the change request 1. additional assignee (list type field) and 2. additional verifier (list type field. 

both will need to be added to their respective change (implement and verify) task which I did but they also need to receive notifications that the change task have been assigned to them. I followed the structure and conditions of the  "change task assigned to me" notification which is OOB and uses the change_task.itil.role template however its not producing a notification for the new added fields. 

 

How am I able to get this to work or do i need to create  a mail script??

yes. in the who will receive i dot walked the field into the users/groups list
