Opening a PDF attachment in a new window

Hi Guys, 

 I have a requirement where once user clicks on the attachment(most probably PDF) instead of download ,it should open in a pop up or in the other tab(especially for PDF) docs,

tried many ways but not able to overcome this native feature of the platform.

Any suggestions please guys,

Hi Nikesh

In Madrid this feature is available for PDF files. Take a look at the Document Viewer section at https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/madrid-release-notes/page/release-notes/summary/rn-summary-new-features.html

I have gone through the doc and done the respective change and it is working for the native view , Is there any way can we achieve this in portal ?

Hi - I think you would need to look at customising the Ticket Attachments and Ticket Conversation widgets to achieve this functionality in Service Portal. I'm afraid I cant offer any suggestions on this though.

Docuemnt viewer is not working for me . I am on orlando release. how to fix that.
