Order Guide issue passing a date field when the user doesn't click OK

We recently had an issue reported to us with our instance when it comes to order guides and passing dates.  We did recently upgrade to DC but I don't know that this has anything to do with the issue, just that it wasn't noticed until then.

 

If an associate selects a date on the Order Guide and clicks off the pop up rather than clicking on OK it still fills in the date and allows the order guide to go from Describe Needs to Choose Options.

Then they receive an error message when trying to proceed on the Choose Options step that the field isn't complete, even thought it has the date showing.

If they then click on the date selector and choose a date, and click on OK, it will allow them to submit.  Has anyone else encountered this or know a solution?

PRB1764839. The problem is fixed in Xanadu.   They also provided a remote update set to help with a workaround until that upgrade.

Perhaps would it be possible to set an onLoad for the Order Guide in question so that it doesn't allow them to click off the date picker?

I was able to duplicate this behavior by creating a new dev instance with Washington DC, adding a form that just had a mandatory date and adding it to the new hire order guide in the Dev instance.  If you just use try it from the back end, when you select the date it automatically closes and things work.  When you use the dev instances service portal so you get the date picker that others use in the service portal it fails on that dev instance the same way we are experiencing it.

I'm experiencing this exact same issue in the Service Portal.

Our New Hire Bundle 'Start Date' is filled in but it displays that same message.

 

Did you ever come up with a fix for this?
